This sounds fantastic. I'm allergic to cow's milk, so I'm always looking for tasty desserts that aren't loaded with butter and suchlike. I can't wait to try this out!

you don't know me but it must be said:
you are awesome for posting this. ^_^V
Thanks! I hope you enjoy the recipe! It's a staple in my house because it's so quick and easy. Out of curiosity, how did you come across this post? I've been getting lots of comments on it today and I was curious.
three words: vox front page.
i guess people have been favoriting (if that's actually a word) the crap out of this post, and it's landed you in the spotlight.
well-deserved, i might add.
kudos. ^_^
I'm excited to try this. I've been toying with the idea of becoming vegan (i'm a vegitarian right now) but I'd miss all the wonderful things that come made off eggs and milk and what not. Finding more recipies like this could be the turning point for me.

I made the cake this morning...

and I must say it is very good.

I didn't find it to be as chocolately as regular chocolate cake (but I had chocolate icing, so it worked out)..

Next time I might use melted chocolate or something..

Anyways, thanks for the recipe and next on my list is the gnocchi :)

wacky cake.
a similar recipe is here. an idea i found in the comments on that one is to mix in some chocolate chips for extra moistness. and then add some frosting. it's all about the triple threat.
ooh, yum. i wanna try~~

This sounds so easy and looks so TASTY! I know what I'm bringing for my friend's gathering this weekend. Yet another chance to prove how yummy vegetarian food can be. Thanks for sharing!

yummy! Mine is baking right now. Can't wait to try it. Thanks for the recipe.
My mother made wacky cake often when I was growing up. Only she used 1/2-2/3 cup of cocoa, and I think 10 tbs of oil, which is a 1/2 cup plus 2 tbs. I have not made it often, but I think you've put me in the mood for it. :-)
How awesome of you to share this! I know someone who could definitely benefit from this...and she LOVES chocolate, too!

thanks for sharing this! as a vegan who doesn't have much time for baking, this is the perfect recipe. It looks scrumptious!

This is one of my favorite recipes! I first made it when I was in about third grade - it was published in a magazine put out by the American Girl Company, the people who make the dolls. To this day I use the recipe whenever I have to make a quick cake!

The degrees are all in fahrenheit.
